THE REN TEAM
The REN team members (who are mostly volunteers) are responsible for the day-to-day running of REN and its projects from our office on Eel Pie Island.

Chas Warlow - Street Champions Co-ordinator (staff) Chas joined us in May 2010 for a two year funded post to co-ordinate our social marketing project in Ham and Petersham, in conjunction with the Low Carbon Zone. Chas has a Masters Degree in Sustainability Management from Royal Holloway University and also has experience of running a environmental social business. |

Maria is our volunteering expert and advises us on such matters. Maria is experienced in working with and supporting volunteers, holds a NVQ level 3 in Volunteer Management as well being an experienced youth worker and has previously been involved in setting up a youth community cafe. Maria has previously been a paid member of the team and more recently worked for London Wildlife Trust. She currently works for Richmond Youth Partnership and GIGL (Greenspace Information for Greater London), the capital's open space and biodiversity records centre.

Simon has joined the team after a Student Placement with us from St Mary's in his final year. During his placement Simon worked to develop two new Biodiversity Actions Plans for Hedges and Private Gardens. Simon now manages our comunications and media, in particular the events listings being submitted to local media.

Katherine manages ZWIN (Zero Waste Initiative) with Mark, with Katherine looking after the more technical aspects. Katherine a previous ZWIN Assessor joins us to manage the ZWIN project with Mark.

Mark manages ZWIN with Katherine, with Mark co-ordinating the ZWIN Assessors and audits. Mark was sustainability champion within his previous employment in the commercial sector, implementing smarter travel plans.

Previous Team Members
We would like to acknoweldge the support of:
Laura Drapper an Intern on a placement with us from St Mary's University College. In her two months with us in spring of 2008, Laura revised and updated the Sustainability Briefing Papers, an important part of our work in supporting and influencing residents to make positive choices concerning sustainability in the home.
Laura Bradnam an Intern on a placement with us in July 2008 and her work in organising the (Richmond) Environmental Groups' Forum and also helping to move to our office in Eel Pie Island.
Simon Howlett an Intern on a student placement with us from St Mary's University College. In the spring 2009, Simon developed two new habitat actions plans for the Richmond Biodiversity Action Plans for private gardens and hedges. Simon also conducted a suvery of our volunteers past and present. After his placement finished in JJune 2009 Simon stayed with us and continues to manage our media activities (website, social media, event listings in local papers).
Pedro Crispim an Intern on a student placement with us from St Mary's University College. In the late spring/early summer of 2009 Pedro researched and developed a new Sustainability Briefing Paper on Eco Tourism/sustainable travel.
