BTCV RICHMOND
Richmond BTCV was established in 1992 to work in partnership with local individuals and groups to maintain and develop open spaces within the borough, through practical conservation volunteer projects. During this time, we have developed a strong volunteer base and achieved a great deal towards the long-term management and maintenance of the local green environment. Without the enthusiasm and commitment of volunteers this work would not be possible.

Practical conservation activities
We run practical conservation activities at various locations around the borough every Wednesday and Thursday, on the first and third Sundays of the month and occasionally on other days. View our schedule of upcoming events here.
Work days begin at around 10.30 am (meet in the office at before 10 am for a lift to the site) and finish at around 4 pm. Everyone is welcome to join in – no experience is necessary and all projects are run by experienced leaders who will teach you any necessary skills, as well as explaining safe use of any hand tools required. You work at your own pace so don't worry if you're not super fit. If you are aged 16–18 you may volunteer with written permission from a parent or guardian and there is no upper age limit!
