WELCOME TO RICHMOND ENVIRONMENT NETWORK (REN) REN is an umbrella body that promotes, supports and networks community-based environmental and sustainability activities within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England, UK. We work with residents, voluntary groups, charities, schools and social enterprises (civil society). In addition, REN has its own projects, programmes and subgroups to deliver an increase in community environmental activity and responsibility, biological diversity, sustainable thinking & practice in the borough and to foster the more prudent use of resources. Project Dirt - Project Dirt is an active community, linking environmental projects and people. They are currently trialling in London, but open to all! Small print - we are not the Council!

Richmond Environment Network on Facebook Things We Would Like to Highlight & Our Popular Pages  Ham and Petersham Low Carbon Zone (LCZ) we are a Member of the partnership & Steering Group running this initiative that has secured £440,000 from Mayor Boris and British Gas  to support the residents, schools and businesses in the area to increase their energy efficiency and reduce their carbon emissions by 20.12% by mid 2012. Richmond Biodiversity Partnership  seeks to protect, conserve an enhance habitats and species of importance within Richmond upon Thames. REN acts as a secretariat to the partnership. ZWIN (Zero Waste Initiative) a free service to help voluntary organisations & schools reduce costs by developing sound environmental policies and practices aimed at the reduction of waste and the improved use of resources. Our latest group to join our database is the Friends of Ham Lands. We are currently working within the community in Richmond to help them  form a friends group for Terrace and Buccleuch Gardens.
